My thoughts: As far as I know, this is a topic that doesn’t seem to have been dealt with in film all too often, so I think it will make for an interesting and potentially controversial movie. I love John C. Reilly as well as Tilda Swinton so I’m excited to see the cast and what they’ll do with the characters. So far, an official trailer hasn’t been released, but here’s an (extremely) unsettling clip from the film. It’s probably a pretty good indication of the tone for the film in its entirety. The way this kid (Ezra Miler) peels and eats the lychee – all while talking about his (presumably) little sister and how something happened to her eye, resulting in her needing a glass eye. The tension is palpable.
